"Who says that?"

 I have conversations with friends who are of a the catholic faith and I tell them about the things that I see that are problematic from catholic standpoints. My objections are often met with "people don't really say that" or "nobody believes that".   While I wish that their objections were true, what I tend to find is that the majority of the interactions ARE the rule rather than the exceptions. I decided to take a scroll through some posts on Twitter and just jot down some findings. 

 Well, Mary needed a Savior, and all have sinned except Christ so.... Biblically this post is inaccurate. 

Mary is not a co-redemptrix. There is nothing in the Bible to suggest this, none of the apostles taught anything like this, and to make this decree is idolatry. 

An interesting point. An argument from silence, but I agree with the implications none the less. 

Ephesians 2:8 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; 9 not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.

The context on this one was that this person is saying that the one directing people to worship God is wrong because they're not Catholic. Wild. 

According to who? Not according to scripture. Not according to Paul. If I get 100 people together and convince them that all my decrees are infallible, that doesn't make it true it makes me a cult leader. 

Is the catholic church correct when these things happen? What about the whole priest molestation scandals that prompted the shell game of moving priests from perish to perish? Was that infallible doctrine too? What about the part in scripture where Christ mentions the millstones around the neck

Deuteronomy 12: 3 You shall tear down their altars and smash their sacred pillars and burn their Asherim with fire, and you shall cut down the engraved images of their gods and obliterate their name from that place. 4 You shall not act like this toward the Lord your God...
29 “When the Lord your God cuts off before you the nations which you are going in to dispossess, and you dispossess them and dwell in their land, 30 beware that you are not ensnared to follow them, after they are destroyed before you, and that you do not inquire after their gods, saying, ‘How do these nations serve their gods, that I also may do likewise?’ 

Verse? Thats nowhere to be found in the scriptures.

I hear a lot of Catholics say "We don't worship mary". Yeah, they do tho. The reason this guy is hostile to protestants holding to the word of God is because the word of God forbids this very type of idolatry. 

Here a catholic refers to protestants as satans spawn for holding to scripture. I don't know if Catholics actually believe this because they seem to have a real problem with its application:
2 Timothy 3:16-17 16 All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; 17 so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.

The exaltation of Mary over Christ is blasphemy. Why? Because putting anything over Christ is idolatry. 

What? 

Galatians 1: 6 I am amazed that you are so quickly deserting Him who called you by the grace of Christ, for a different gospel; 7 which is really not another; only there are some who are disturbing you and want to distort the gospel of Christ. 8 But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be accursed! 9 As we have said before, so I say again now, if any man is preaching to you a gospel contrary to what you received, he is to be accursed!

2 Timothy 4: 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires, 4 and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths.

"Just for you" This is idolatry. Isaiah 42:8 8 “I am the Lord, that is My name;

I will not give My glory to another,

Nor My praise to graven images.

Jeremiah 44: 16 “As for the message that you have spoken to us in the name of the Lord, we are not going to listen to you! 17 But rather we will certainly carry out every word that has proceeded from our mouths, by burning sacrifices to the queen of heaven and pouring out drink offerings to her, just as we ourselves, our forefathers, our kings and our princes did in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem; for then we had plenty of food and were well off and saw no misfortune. 18 But since we stopped burning sacrifices to the queen of heaven and pouring out drink offerings to her, we have lacked everything and have met our end by the sword and by famine.” 19 “And,” said the women, “when we were burning sacrifices to the queen of heaven and were pouring out drink offerings to her, was it without our husbands that we made for her sacrificial cakes in her image and poured out drink offerings to her?”
22 So the Lord was no longer able to endure it, because of the evil of your deeds, because of the abominations which you have committed; thus your land has become a ruin, an object of horror and a curse, without an inhabitant, as it is this day. 23 Because you have burned sacrifices and have sinned against the Lord and not obeyed the voice of the Lord or walked in His law, His statutes or His testimonies, therefore this calamity has befallen you, as it has this day.

Verse?

Now if they believe that Mary is in fact in heaven, then they're violating the command from God in Exodus 20:4 4 “You shall not make for yourself an idol, or any likeness of what is in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the water under the earth.

Paul seemed to think that Timothy empowered by the Holy Spirit could do so. The Bereans didn't consult a council or committee, they searched to scriptures to verify Pauls words. Why are catholics so hostile to people reading the word of God?  

2  Thessalonians 2:7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only he who now restrains will do so until he is taken out of the way. 8 Then that lawless one will be revealed whom the Lord will slay with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of His coming; 9 that is, the one whose coming is in accord with the activity of Satan, with all power and signs and false wonders, 10 and with all the deception of wickedness for those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth so as to be saved. 11 For this reason God will send upon them a deluding influence so that they will believe what is false, 12 in order that they all may be judged who did not believe the truth, but took pleasure in wickedness.

Many say "we don't pray to mary" but... yeah. 

So, theres a sampling of just a few things I see on the daily from Catholics. Its not good.
