Flat Tops- Dissecting Flat Earth Meme (Row B)

EARTH HAS A FACE ( A GEOMETRICAL FLAT SURFACE)
Okay lets set em up by book and knock em down.
  • Genesis 1:29, “Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the surface of all the earth, and every tree which has fruit yielding seed; it shall be food for you" The fact that trees protrude from the ground and mountains exist in of itself means that the SURFACE is not flat, I doubt any of these verse say anything about what the header implies "a geometrically flat surface"
  • 4:14,  Behold, You have driven me this day from the face of the ground; and from Your face I will be hidden, and I will be a vagrant and a wanderer on the earth, and whoever finds me will kill me.”   If he was literally driven away from the ground does that mean he went to live in space? No, he was driven away from that specific land. How does land having a surface mean anything in regard to the shape of the earth? Saying I have skin doesn't tell you how big my waist is or what color I am.
  •  6:1, "Now it came about, when men began to multiply on the face of the land, and daughters were born to them" There ya have it folks, fold up shop I was wrong... this here says dudes started boinkin so that means the earth is flat.... #Sarcasm. It figures that the larger portions of text are not actually relevant.
  •  6:7, The Lord said, “I will blot out man whom I have created from the face of the land, from man to animals to creeping things and to birds of the sky; for I am sorry that I have made them.”  Again, Unless he shot dudes into space and each space dude yelled back "OH HEY LOOK AT THAT, THE EARTH IS ACTUALLY SHAPED LIKE A DOUBLE STUFFED OREO COOKIE"  this has no bearing on the subject.
  •  7:3-4, " also of the birds of the sky, by sevens, male and female, to keep offspring alive on the face of all the earth. 4 For after seven more days, I will send rain on the earth forty days and forty nights; and I will blot out from the face of the land every living thing that I have made.” " Yes we concede that the face of the earth is the surface that you see and not, say, the molten magma core.
  •  8:5,"The water decreased steadily until the tenth month; in the tenth month, on the first day of the month, the tops of the mountains became visible." Quite interesting that they opted to put this verse in seeing as how that means that the earth isn't a Geometric flat surface as the top of the mountain sticks out way more than the valley. This verse undermines the rest of the list
  • 11:8,"So the Lord scattered them abroad from there over the face of the whole earth; and they stopped building the city. " Earth got acne, it happens. Doesn't mean that its a geometric flat manhole cover.
  •  11:9, "Therefore its name was called Babel, because there the Lord confused the language of the whole earth; and from there the Lord scattered them abroad over the face of the whole earth." Ah, I don't speak Mandarin so the earth must be the shape of a grape once its stepped on. That doesn't make any sense.
  •  41:56 "When the famine was spread over all the face of the earth, then Joseph opened all the storehouses, and sold to the Egyptians; and the famine was severe in the land of Egypt." NOTHING. TO . DO. WITH . THE .SHAPE. OF. THE. EARTH.

WATERS HAVE A FACE  (A GEOMETRIC FLAT SURFACE)
Gen 1:2, Gen 7:18, Job 38:30

Let me start off and tell you that there is such a thing as surface tension. That means that water has a surface, and it is moveable and sticks to things until something breaks that surface tension
Waters have a face here. I'm curious as to if that has any bearing on the shape of the earth.
  • Gen 1:2, "The earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the waters. " That actually does mention the shape of the earth as not existing. This is one of the first actually relevant  verses you've shared. Good job! It is contrary to the case you're trying to make, but... you did a thing! yay!
  • Gen 7:18, "The water prevailed and increased greatly upon the earth, and the ark floated on the surface of the water. " Much like the paperclip in above video... still not showing the shape of the earth.
  • Job 38:30 "Water becomes hard like stone, And the surface of the deep is imprisoned." Congratulations, you've discovered the Biblical verse for "Ice".  For some of you. you like to make the case "How come the word circle was uses instead of the word ball or sphere or whatever"  Well, because it wasn't. In this verse, the writer states water became hard like stone. Why didn't he say Ice, the word ice is used in the previous verse “From whose womb has come the ice? And the frost of heaven, who has given it birth?" He didn't say Ice because...He didn't say Ice. Furthermore, there's that verse again... If we're to take things literally where is ol ice womb?
 
EARTH HAS ENDS (who's arguing that it doesn't. It doesn't extend into space forever)
 
 
  • Deuteronomy 20:49... Let me just look that up here... Deuteronomy 20..... 18, 19,20... THERE IS NO DEUTERONOMY 20:49!!!!!! THAT IS THE SECOND ONE ON THE LIST THAT DOESNT EXIST!!!!!
    Deut 28:64 , "Moreover, the Lord will scatter you among all peoples, from one end of the earth to the other end of the earth; and there you shall serve other gods, wood and stone, which you or your fathers have not known"  If we are to take the idea that everything that is the face of the earth is the top of some disc, then when scattered from one end [top] to the other [bottom] then that means that people are on the underside/dark side of the earth.
    Deut 33:17 “As the firstborn of his ox, majesty is his, And his horns are the horns of the wild ox; With them he will push the peoples, All at once, to the ends of the earth. And those are the ten thousands of Ephraim, And those are the thousands of Manasseh.” So either its a figure of speech or are they actually going to push people to the literal edge of the earth? Seems like its going to take a lot of wheelbarrows because I can imagine that some of the people you're pushing aren't going to co-operate. Maybe get some of those couch coasters so that they glide with ease. The phrase ends of the earth is an idiom for "furthest reach of man's dominion" If I were to say that I'll go to the end of the earth for someone I love, I am not saying that I'm going to the edge of the planet, I'm saying that I'll do everything within my power to achieve something.
  •  1 Samuel 2:10, “Those who contend with the Lord will be shattered; Against them He will thunder in the heavens, The Lord will judge the ends of the earth; And He will give strength to His king, And will exalt the horn of His anointed.”
    Again, ends of the earth is an idiom for mans efforts, hence the context of this very verse is that he will shatter those who contend with Him.
  • Job 37:3,“Under the whole heaven He lets it loose, And His lightning to the ends of the earth."  Again, using imagery here, unless you think in verse one where it says “At this also my heart trembles, And leaps from its place." That the dudes heart leapt up like a full high jumper out of the body and just like started doing hand sprints around the room.
    Job 38:13"That it might take hold of the ends of the earth, And the wicked be shaken out of it" In the context God is rebuking Job, but lets set that aside for the main point... Earth has dimensional space. My waist has dimensional space. Someone could theoretically (I don't advise it, if you touch me I'll hurt you) grab the edge of me by putting their hands on my hips. Does this mean that I am flat, or my waist is flat? No it doesn't.
  •  Psalms 46:9, - "He makes wars to cease to the end of the earth; He breaks the bow and cuts the spear in two; He burns the chariots with fire." Start to finish does not dictate the shape of the earth.
    48:10,- "As is Your name, O God, So is Your praise to the ends of the earth; Your right hand is full of righteousness." Praising God until the end of time does not speak to the shape of the earth
    59:13,- "Destroy them in wrath, destroy them that they may be no more; That men may know that God rules in Jacob To the ends of the earth. Selah." God judging everyone at the end does not  dictate the shape of the earth
    61:2,- "From the end of the earth I call to You when my heart is faint; Lead me to the rock that is higher than I." End here is to mean at the end of a period of time, not a geographic location.
    65:5,- "By awesome deeds You answer us in righteousness, O God of our salvation, You who are the trust of all the ends of the earth and of the farthest sea"  Saying that the earth has ends, like again, top and bottom, isn't speaking to shape only vague dimensions. We know that the earth doesn't extend to the moon, or we cant jump on mars from our house... because the earth has ends... that does not mean that the earth is flat.
    67:7,- "God blesses us,That all the ends of the earth may fear Him."  do you believe that in verse one of this chapter that God's face literally reflects light as the sun? "God be gracious to us and bless us, And cause His face to shine upon us" or is that an idiom for God's favor?
    72:8,- "May he also rule from sea to sea And from the River to the ends of the earth." yes, all over the Globe...
    98:3,- "He has remembered His lovingkindness and His faithfulness to the house of Israel;
    All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God." As in everyone will see it, not the edges of the earth are looking at the salvation of God. Why would it be telling a story about some rocks and dirt looking at the salvation of God? How many times have you watched the never ending story? The rock biter is not a Biblical character, even if you staple some book of Enoch stuff in there.
    135:7,- He causes the vapors to ascend from the ends of the earth; Who makes lightnings for the rain, Who brings forth the wind from His treasuries"  Again, the top of the earth. I've seen fog and mist rise from the ground into the air. It rose out of the ground, the ground that stopped at foot level, the ground that did not extend over me into space. None of these have made a case for a ice cream sandwich shaped disc earth shape.
  •  Proverbs 30:4, "Who has ascended into heaven and descended? Who has gathered the wind in His fists? Who has wrapped the waters in His garment? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is His name or His son's name? Surely you know! " Ok so according to this, Water should be made of a garment right? if we are taking the imagery here as literal, then water should be made of clothes.
    17:24,- "Wisdom is in the presence of the one who has understanding, But the eyes of a fool are on the ends of the earth." So you mean to tell me that all of this talk on the edge of the earth and you included a scripture that calls you a fool for being focused on the edge of the earth? Do I even really need to give commentary on the fact that the Bible calls you dumb for focusing on that? ALTHOUGH, I think it means that the fool has his eyes on what they can achieve by their own hand.
  •  Isaiah 5:26, - Same as above breakdown in Psalms
    26:15,- "You have increased the nation, O Lord,You have increased the nation, You are glorified;You have extended all the borders of the land." Whaaat, land boarders... hmmm how can we bastardize the text into molding in a preconceived notion of flat earth.... 
    40:28,- "Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth Does not become weary or tired. His understanding is inscrutable" Your honor the prosecution stipulates that the scriptures use the phrase ends of the earth, but we object to the notion that this is in any way stating a shape of said earth.
    41:5,- "The coastlands have seen and are afraid; The ends of the earth tremble;They have drawn near and have come."... how did they do that if they can't move?
    41:9,- "You whom I have taken from the ends of the earth, And called from its remotest parts
    And said to you, ‘You are My servant, I have chosen you and not rejected you."  "end, extremity

    This is saying that I have taken you from the 4 quarters of the world

    42:10,-Sing to the Lord a new song, Sing His praise from the end of the earth!You who go down to the sea, and all that is in it. You islands, and those who dwell on them."- See def. above
    43:6 - "“I will say to the north, ‘Give them up!’And to the south, ‘Do not hold them back.’
    Bring My sons from afar And My daughters from the ends of the earth" Affirmation that he's speaking to the 4 directions and not literal edge pieces of a earth wafer
    45:22,- "“Turn to Me and be saved, all the ends of the earth; For I am God, and there is no other." Same as above
    48:20,-  Go forth from Babylon! Flee from the Chaldeans! Declare with the sound of joyful shouting, proclaim this, Send it out to the end of the earth; Say, “The Lord has redeemed His servant Jacob.” - Again North South East West = ends of the earth
    49:6, - "He says, “It is too small a thing that You should be My Servant To raise up the tribes of Jacob and to restore the preserved ones of Israel; I will also make You a light of the nations
    So that My salvation may reach to the end of the earth.”"  I haven't seen anyone pushing flat earth shining Moses off the mountain style.
    52:10, - "The Lord has bared His holy arm In the sight of all the nations,That all the ends of the earth may see The salvation of our God." If you go east and lower the altitude far as you go, it will eventually become west, same with northern slopes and southern slopes. This does not make the case for flatness of earth
  • Jeremiah 25:31-   Not an earth shape
    10:13,-  "When He utters His voice, there is a tumult of waters in the heavens, And He causes the clouds to ascend from the end of the earth; He makes lightning for the rain, And brings out the wind from His storehouses." Firstly, Not an earth shape. Second.... do you also think wind is kept in a giant house/box just out of view? People will agree that all the rest of the planets are round because they can see them in telescopes, but they take exception with earth... and they would have to believe in literal storehouses of wind...
    16:19,-  Not an earth shape
    25:33,- Not an earth shape
    51:16, -  This says the exact same thing as 10:13 and is still not an earth shape, and still not an explanation of storehouse wind.
  •  Daniel 4:22,... does anyone record in history ever that there was a dude that was a tree that ended world hunger? Because if you back up to verse 21, you can see that if we take this DREAM INTERPRETATION literally, then we have to conclude that the guy was tree that fed everyone and reached into space. "The tree that you saw, which became large and grew strong, whose height reached to the sky and was visible to all the earth 21 and whose foliage was beautiful and its fruit abundant, and in which was food for all, under which the beasts of the field dwelt and in whose branches the birds of the sky lodged— 22 it is you, O king; for you have become great and grown strong, and your majesty has become great and reached to the sky and your dominion to the end of the earth."
  •  Micah 5:4, to the ends of the earth is not a shape!!!
  • Zechariah 9:10, not a shape of the earth.
  • Acts 13:47 "For so the Lord has commanded us, ‘I have placed You as a light for the Gentiles, That You may bring salvation to the end of the earth.’”  ... How come the word here isn't recording that each of these dudes faces lit up like the Bat Signal over Gotham city, since if we're toing to take the idiom of to the ends of the earth literal, then we must also take that they are literal lights, so tell me which disciples butts glowed in the dark like some majestic firefly? My guess if it were anyone it would be Barnabas, but that's just a guess... no wait, I guess NOBODY.
EARTH HAS CORNERS
Isaiah 11:12, Revelation 7:1
  • Isaiah 11:12"And He will lift up a standard for the nations  And assemble the banished ones of Israel,  And will gather the dispersed of Judah From the four corners of the earth." Not literal corners, its an expression for the North, South, East, West.
  •  Revelation 7:1 "After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth, so that no wind would blow on the earth or on the sea or on any tree."  Revelation is the same book that says Yeshua shoots swords out of His mouth. you know what... I MIGHT listen to you on this one once you explain whatever this is:
    " The first creature was like a lion, and the second creature like a calf, and the third creature had a face like that of a man, and the fourth creature was like a flying eagle.  And the four living creatures, each one of them having six wings, are full of eyes around and within; and day and night they do not cease to say..."
FIRMAMENT/ DOME ( isn't that the thing that goes over the earth, not the shape of the earth itself?)
Genesis 1:14-18, 1:6-8, 1:20,7:11,8:2, Job37:18, Psalm 19:1, 150:1, Isaiah 40:22, Ezekiel 1:22-26, 10:1, Daniel 12:3
I'm going to call it first, that a dome over the earth does not effect the shape of the earth... For instance look at this :
 

You see that? Ya see how even under this that the earth can still be a globe? Even if there is a giant ice sheet at the beginning that held the water as part of the Canopy Theory suggests, that does not speak to the shape of the earth.


Lets look at Revelations again where it says:
After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven, and the first voice which I had heard, like the sound of a trumpet speaking with me, said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after these things.”

Could this dome be a literal spiritual thing that is not seen or touched unless God wants it to be? What about the throneroom of God, where is that in whatever the flat earth version of NASA is? In the weird POG shaped flat earth with a cake plate over it firmament model, there is still nothing accounting for this Revelation doorway to Heaven, or a giant ladder that all the Angels go up and down on that is protruding from the earth.

Alright lets see what we got here...
  •  Genesis 1:14-18, Lets see.... "lights in the expanse of the heavens " not an earth shape... "and let them be for lights in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth”; " Nope not an earth shape... actually this isn't even mentioning a dome the way its supposed to... "He made the stars also.  God placed them in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth, and to govern the day and the night, and to separate the light from the darkness" Yep, nothing on earth shape or a giant dome over the earth. This scripture has no bearing here.  Let me show you something else


    You see how that separation of light, and dark over the earth... they.... they create a ... shape over the earth... kinda shape with like, a flat line and then... then like a half circle... almost like, say, a dome. I'm just sayin, that it is a dome, over the earth, without the earth being flat. Just sayin.
  • Gen 1:6-8, "Let there be an expanse in the midst of the waters, and let it separate the waters from the waters.” 7 God made the expanse, and separated the waters which were below the expanse from the waters which were above the expanse; and it was so. 8 God called the expanse heaven."

We have directions and we have labels but what we don't have... is a shape. Take a look at this picture, we have water that is separated from water, there is something separating waters above the flat surface of the table, from the water that is on the flat surface of the table.  Using the same descriptions in Gen 1:6-8, this doesn't paint the picture of a flat plate with water on the plate, just as it doesn't paint the picture of a glass with water in the glass. It doesn't speak to a shape, just waters above and below. Also, with a globe, you can still have water in the core and water in the surface...actually, click this link
  • Gen 1:20,"Then God said, “Let the waters teem with swarms of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth in the open expanse of the heavens.”  Anyone who has ever seen a goldfish bowl can tell you that this verse doesn't mean anything in the realm of flat earthiness
  • 7:11, "In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on the same day all the fountains of the great deep burst open, and the floodgates of the sky were opened. "  Going back to Jacobs ladder... Jacob made the statement that where he was sleeping was the gate to heaven... Is the gate to heaven in the desert where Jacob passed out, or are these real and in no way imagery gates in the sky? Was Jacob sleep flying? How does that gates of heaven thing fit with Revelation with the Angel being all "Pssst, cmon up here"  Are the gates up or are they not, are the flood gates above the regular gate.... or is this metaphoric word usage?
  • 8:2 Floodgates of the sky being closed.... The heavens where the birds were just flying a few passages ago. Water being poured out from heaven, doesn't mean the earth is flat. especially if you ascribe to canopy theory that has a layer of ice all around the earth
  •   Job37:18, "“Can you, with Him, spread out the skies, Strong as a molten mirror?" Imagery, and also... are you saying that the sky is capable of falling because it is a physical thing that is strong as a molten mirror? How do birds fly inside a molten mirror?  

  •  Psalm 19:1, "The heavens are telling of the glory of God; And their expanse is declaring the work of His hands." That is not a shape of the earth. That isn't even a shape of a dome thing..?
    150:1, "Praise the Lord! Praise God in His sanctuary; Praise Him in His mighty expanse"  This still isn't a shape, of earth nor dome
  •  Isaiah 40:22, "It is He who sits above the circle of the earth, And its inhabitants are like grasshoppers, Who stretches out the heavens like a curtain And spreads them out like a tent to dwell in." This is an actual shape of the earth verse, you did it!!! And that shape supports the idea of a globe!!! Circles don't have corners btw so you may be reading something wrong. Also, here's a thing on the curtain idea... a curtain is a flat blanket like thing over a window... but a tent is a 3 dimensional construct with things inside of it. So space, may be a free hanging "thing" but we all dwell in the "empty" space... as in space is a large area of black and stars and planets and not some cloth like thing draped over the Dixie plate of earth like a napkin.
  •  Ezekiel 1:22-26, Again, nowhere in this text is there a shape of earth nor is there a shape of any dome like thing over the earth. In fact, it says something like an expanse.... as in it may not even be an expanse

    10:1, "Then I looked, and behold, in the expanse that was over the heads of the cherubim something like a sapphire stone, in appearance resembling a throne, appeared above them. " Still not a shape, of earth or dome. are thrones dome shaped?
  •  Daniel 12:3 "Those who have insight will shine brightly like the brightness of the expanse of heaven, and those who lead the many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever. " Ok, heaven is expansive... and bright... that still isn't a shape of a dome nor is it the shape of earth.
